    single speed project

going to convert this old coyote four into a single speed. Probably also going to change the seat and the peddles, also getting avid break levers. Could you use a normal chain or is a single speed chain required, also does it need a tentioner? i believe its vertical drop outs.

right now i just shortned the chain and ive being riding it around. it works pretty well. im going to order a single speed kit off of ebay with the spacers, cogs and a tenstioner. But do i need a special chain or can i just shorten the one already on it?
