New question here. Show of hands for the KC Summit!...

    So, who's in and who's only wish-in?

riderx, drevil, and allroy are accounted for. Who else?

Looks like I'll be there. That is if I ever get my stem back from warranty. Otherwise maybe there's a loner stem out there?

Well, I'll be there unless the weather turns sour that is. I am a fair weather advocate.

Are the KC trails recovered from the spring thaw/snow melt/rain, Ken? Mine (in southern Iowa) sure isn't. Of course the mostly Northern exposure doesn't help thawing or drying time...

I have a bontager stem of some sort. No problem to loan it out. I also have a couple C-dale stems, if your tastes run that way.

The advantage of holding the Summit in March is that we're about the first festival of the season. The disadvantage is that the weather is less predictable.

The trails should be OK. We've not been able to ride much this winter due to the moisture and relatively mild temps. The trails were fine a week ago last Sunday and then we got hit with more rain, flooding actually. The sun has been shining and more importantly, the wind blowing for a couple of days. If we continue to have this weather, the trails will be ripping.

There's a posibility of rain for tomorrow. Other than that, we're looking at some fairly nice weather leading up to and including the Summit.

I thought he had foresaken bikes and taken up golf? Or was it Dungeons and Dragons? I don't remember.

We'll welcome him back with open arms, of course. I wonder if this bit of news will make Hurl cry? He's a sensitive guy, you know.

Coool, Ken. My taste runs more Surly than C-Dale so the Bonty stem would be better. I'll let you know if I need it when the event gets a little closer. Thanks!

    Hey!

I am so looking forward to this. Maybe it is because I have not been able to ride dirt for nearly three months. Nah, its because it will be fun to ride with a bunch of cool people.

Who's drinking Bloody Mary's at the News Room? Shall I see you there? Jesus christ, I ride my bike all over the place and hardly ever see any other bikers in this part of town (other than my regular posse). Of course I've noticed alot of "fair weather" friends biking lately. Hmm....who commutes and isn't scared of the cold weather...thats right it's me! Not you, me! Ok maybe not, but why haven't I seen you before? The streets of KC are growing meaner due to the lack of bike traffic. (BTW, I really have noticed a dramatic increase in cyclists now that the weather has turned).

    Bloody Mary's

    Vlad the Impaler!

I'm talkin' bout the 612 representin' at Singletrack Summit back in '02, when the Retarded Dingoes shredded the scene for 48 hours. The working stiffs had to head home Sunday morning, but Diamond Simon Shamrock and myself worshipped at the altar of the Newsroom until well past the collection plate. Followed it up with some $1 PBR's at RC's. Is that place still going? Who's playing at the Hurricane the weekend of the Summit? Or any other live venues?
