should I convert and upgrade a Forge Sawback 5xx Hard-Tail to a SS??

I currently have a Forge Sawback 5xx. I am looking to buy a 29er w/gears, but I was wondering if I should upgrade my old bike with a new fork, crank, and convert it over to SS. would it be an OK frame to convert?? I know its a cheap bike, but its really hasn't treated me badly at all.

that way I could have 2 totally different bikes

    what do you think??

I say convert it to an SS and see if you enjoy it. Then you can decide if you want to replace other items in the future, or just invest into a new ride.

Yeah, why cranks and a fork? Just do the conversion and enjoy it. Everyone needs an inexpensive single speed- I have more miles on my cheap bikes than my expensive one (I think)...
