    shimano clipless

    gonna go grab some shimano md540 pedals today but can't swing shoes yet till payday. think it'd be alright to ride on them with skate board shoes till friday?

    You could try doing that, but it won't be comfortable. It will be slippery when standing on them and could get you into trouble while going downhill. Even uphill won't be very easy because you will lose a lot of power.

    As long as you take it easy and and don't get involved in some hardcore mountainbiking and keep it on a flat surface, you'll be alright and live to see next week.

    no reason to put them on until you have shoes imo. I have ridden around on clipless pedals with regular shoes, and the point of contact is so small, that it digs in to your foot and kinda hurts. The only time I rode it was to get around town when it snowed and I didn't want to ride my road bike.

    Yeah, why not wait to install the pedals 'til you get your new tappy shoes?

    i know i know i know well i went broke temporarily and bout some bontrager shoes anne since they were not gunna get the md540's back in i got to go with what i really truly wanted......egg beater 2's haha
