Okay, cycling content: I failed to ride this weekend. Can somebody give me a vicarious thrill by posting a lively ride report or (preferably) some SS photos?

    Thanks!
Here you go, from the hills above Burbank, Hollywood and Joeygo!

We don't quit riding because we get old.

Freddy, About the top caps: I always thought a good variation of the original would be simply "One Speed is All You Need!"

Hmmm - that's pretty good - the other one I was going to get and litter Cave Run with was "Can't Bike it, Hike it" ....lol

You know I've used the bike on Shoulder techinque you showed me a few times with great success since then too... thanks for the tip! Also saving my pennies for a set of the 1.95 Trail Raker tires for the mud....

It was a beautiful day and a few of us put in some good, quality miles on San Juan Trail, Viejo Tie, Chiquita, and Candy store loop. Shot 2 hour's worth of helmet-cam footage too!

Just a few pics since I was running video...

About 3 times the posts as passion at the moment!

Do not forget the start new threads and not put everything under the same header.

One year and three days since FFreddy posted this up.

So what has transpired since then? It wasn't a great year for racing in '04. During the races I was either sick or just plain out of shape so I did pretty badly. I missed the ECNASSCU and the SM100 due to weddings, but because I got to spend two weeks in Spain for the former, it wasn't too painful. As for missing the SM, I drank myself into a stupor with two glasses of wine at the reception. It blew. Chunks.

It was a good year for riding in general, however. I didn't need to make any emergency hospital visits, I don't remember having to walk back to my car, and I only got poison ivy twice this year. Also, not too much blood left on the trails, and I got my "flow" on many times. Made more new friends than I lost touch with, so I'm in the black.

'05 looks to be a good year. Some highlights: I may jump into the 29 world, I plan on getting in better shape (Super Size Me is an eye-opener), and the SSWC is coming to my backyard. Hope y'all have a good year as well.

BTW, this vbulletin forum software is definitely better than that old stuff

I was like - what the heck did someone hack my username... I don't remember posting this.... oh yeah like a year ago....lol..... A year recap!.....

Well 2004 was not the best biking season for me with a house move and still selling the old homestead. That pretty much wiped up the summer - but I've been hitting the trainer pretty hard lately and I'm looking forward to 2005! Got 2 new bikes in 2004 - not a SS(s) but a NRS Carbon (for other mtn use) and a Basso Zer0.9 for road use. Got posin Ivy pretty good on my first off road ride in 2004 and it bummed me out and I took a new passion towards my fixie road bike and road it more than any other bike in 2004.
