    SC Chameleon EBB Question

It's time for an upgrade! I have been riding my 97 steel jamis dakota for 11 years, 4 of which as a SS. It has dents galore, some rust on a weld and I can see this bike causing me some physical harm if I keep hammering it. I know nothing about EBB's and have just been happy with a tensioner but its time.
Any input on the Santa Cruz Chameleon?
Will SS'ing on Aluminium be that big of a change?
I have a set of Race Face evolve DH cranks can they be used with a EBB or will I need a new bottom bracket? suggestions
Are EBB's difficult to set the tension?
I am looking at this frame because it can handle a larger travel fork any other suggestions?
    $650 max spending
    Thanks

Chameleon is bulletproof. Does it all. No, EBBs are not difficult to deal with. Yes you can use your RF evolve cranks. The Chameleon is going to be super stiff. But you will love it as a SS (unless you have a bad back).
