    Rumble as SS (vert dropouts)

All...I picked up a 2004 Moutain Cycle Rumble. After I got it and had the HS cups pressed in, I decided to try and set it up as a SS (was originally going to do 1x9). Didn't know anything about the S/1, so I have the standard vert dropouts.

Anyone setup one of these as SS? The one with the vert dropouts? Can I get lucky with a ring/cog combination, or will I need a tensioner no matter what? Manufacturer specs put the c/s at 406mm.

    Thanks in advance.....

Look under the FAQ on the right --->

There is a link to some calculators that will help you out.

You could always get a new rear hub
