    Rim recommendations for all-day-disc..

    Howdy--

I currently run MavicF219's(570g) and dig the stability going down, but would rather not lug around the extra weight. I am also no at all interested in the super lighty's for obvious reasons....anybody have good experience with disc only rims in the 450-500 gram zone? I like the 28mm width, but understand compromise. All answers appreciated, I dig hearing from experienced minds....

    talk to me....
    Night has fallen.
And there's nothin' we can do about it.

I love the Mavic F519's. I have done everything on them from 5 hour epic XC to urban and downhill. They are very tough and if built by a good wheelbuilder should be able to take almost anything you can throw at them. I weighed mine and they were 460g. As a bonus they are on closeout at a bunch of places because they are being retired by mavic for the new XM321's which are haevier.

The X819 (3.1 UST) work very well run tubeless with WTB std. tires for all day use. I'm a big boy and ride these rims on some really tech terrain.

317s (now 717) are strong as hell too, just get a good wheelbuilder.
