    pugsley

    anyone build a pugsley up single speed?If so details please.

    Mine was singlespeed last winter, although I put an 8-speed Alfine hub on this year. Surly hubs, WI freewheel, Profile Racing cranks, 33x20 gear ratio.

    Why are the frame and fork dished so much? I understand it's to create clearance but I've seen non dished custom forks that clear the large marge/ endomorph as well.

    It's insanely hard for a noob like me to lace a wheel like that.

    I just did it. It was no harder than any other wheel. The front works easier with having a wider spacing. Making it 135mm offset to match the rear allows you to swap front to back.
