    Pretty in Pink bike porn

Had my first single speed built up today and had quite fun riding it back from brooklyn to my apt in manhattan. can't wait to hit the single track tomorrow!

She weighs in at 20.5lb's on the digi scale...ridiculously light after coming from a full suspension. i hopped up a curb and couldnt believe how easy the front came up! The easton carbon seatpost didnt arrive so i have a generic silver post until it comes next week.

Here's the build if you are curious(sorry i'm proud of it):

    Easton monkeylite dh carbon bar
    thomson stem
    magura marta SL disc brakes
    chris king headset
    oury grips
wtb 2.4 mutanoraptors with stan's notubes
ac disc lite hubs with velocity vxc rims(oddsandendos.com build)
    wtb rocket v stealth saddle
spot 34T chainring with a.c spider on xtr 952 crank arms
    eggbeater stainless pedals
chris king 18T cog with boone ti spacers

Looks great! I LOVE my Surly, I'm sure you'll soon feel the same way. I like the pink a lot more than I thought I would too. Not as bright as Hollywood's Curtlo, a bit more subtle. The first thing that came to mind when I saw that color was Pepto-Bismol, hahah.
    Congrats on the new ride!

yeah...i just ordered some bolt-ons from oddsandendos.com. i suppose you can have a surly built up for very cheap...mine's not exactly cheap as you probably see in the parts list. i'm not sure i want to add up how much i spent on everything but i did get a great deal on most of the new parts i needed from my lbs she only charged me 100 bucks for the dh monkeylites which i thought was possibly wrong but i didnt complain!

I have seen spooky's surly in person and can testify that it's super-bad. Actually because of that I've spent like two hours researching how to convert my Brontrager Privateer into an SS...
now the world is gone i'm just o n e
