    Phoenix

You guys have inspired my winter progect. I have an old Rockhopper sport from my high school years (late 80's early 90's) that for some reason i never got rid of. I am in the process of stripping it down to a single speed. I know nothing about bike mechanics but am having a good time. Right now i am stuck at the Bottem Bracket. I pulled it apart and the bearings were brown (that might explain the grinding). How do i find out what to replace it with. This progect is on the cheep, so for now the lowest cost option is the best option.

Any help at all will be great.

Call your specialized Dealer, have them look it up or you may have to take it in to get measured.
