Hey SS Jerry, I have to agree, that is a fine piece of bike!

That is an ENO crank, is that also the ring they give you or is that a custom job too?

I must have spent 10 minutes just staring at those shots....

Fantastic looking bike if ever I saw one. I really admire that sweet paint job - Nothing comes close IMHO.

Very very impressive. I bet it will be a real head turner on the trails and more importantly a thrill to ride.

Silver and red is great, too. I don't like light blue. Phil shoulda just labeled it without.. the blue.

32-20? Holy christ! Where are you riding that thing? Dude, too much gearing!

    Um, Problems I can see:

    --Non-salsa qr for seat tube
    --719s? Why? Just extra weight!
    --1x9 chain instead of 1x8
--Bolt on rear hub not necessary with EBB.

Seat post clamp in red is coming.
Big guys need big rims.....719's are good...
    1x9 chain works fine....
Rear hub will be changed out by Brent next week.

Thanks to all of you for your kind comments. As soon as the foot heals a bit better, I can get it dirty. I broke it twice last year and it just developed a hairline crack again.

    Right on.....

About the 719s....I ride pretty damn hard stuff and i'm 220...200 "in season" and believe it or not the 3.1s/x819 UST work fine for me.

The 1x9 chain, i've broken them, and you get better wear on your rear Eno cog and front chainring with a wider-spaced 8 speed chain....

I still hope to see you in downieville at the gathering. You're local, no excuses not to come.

I know about the foot....i've got a constantly broken osicle that just KILLS ever time it re-breaks. But the doc said there is no way to cast it, so I just keep going.

    Jerry,

That is one awesome bike. But to be honest, those handle bars leave the overall look of the bike hanging. It doesn't blend. You have silver cranks, silver shocks, silver seat post, silver rims, and dull black handlebars . This does not bode well with the rest of the bike.

I would get a carbon seatpost, or silver handlebars. But that's my opinion . Have fun with the new ride!!!!
We don't need more to be thankful for; we just need to be more thankful.

Who makes all those alloy bolts. I have some alloy cage bolts on my bike, but I have not seen a alloy top cap bolt. That's one tricked out machine.

Hello Jerry, this is my first post here, not only to tell you that you have one real beauty there but to ask you, where you did get the small cover shown in the first of your posts...

The reason I ask is I got my number 4 Piss Off last week and I`m about to build it now...

Custom TopCap info for the Pissoff #9....

Many of you wanted the source for the topcap. I went to :

    purleycustom.com

Sheldon was great to work with. I obtained permission from Phil Wood to have them made, so.... if you own a Phil Wood Pissoff, you will be getting one.

I sent them the Phil logo's from the bike and website and they did the rest. Artwork cost $75, no big deal, because they changed it million times until it was right. Not their fault, I am just super picky and since it involved Phil Wood's name, I had to make sure it was perfect.

The only ones engraved with the numbers are #1, #9 and the #12, the rest are engraved just like you see, with the logos and all, red and black filled in just like the logo's.

I had enough made so each Phil Wood PissOff owner will get the custom cap. I also had alloy bolts made up to match which will be included with the custom cap. There should be 20+silver alloy bolts 8 black ones, a few red ones.

I will be taking them to Brent at Phil Woods next week, so he will contact you, or you can email him and hit him up for one before the special colors are gone.

Merry Christmas a little early. No charge, I paid for them out of my own pocket, enjoy one of the benefits of belonging to the club... now it is confirmed, like Brent said... "You're crazy"... yes crazy in love with my bike....

Thanks once again to Brent at Phil Woods who gave his permission.

What? No head badge detail picture? For shame!

That's quite the beautiful bike, and you're a heck of a person for getting those topcaps made and distributed...that's just cool.
