    PC1 and Z510 chain comparison

I have recently built up a new singlespeed, a genesis io and fitted an SRAM PC1 chain and the chain has dropped several times since. Before that i was riding an old Raleigh max converted to single speed with a KMC Z510 and it never dropped the chain both bikes used the same crankset and chainring the chainline on the genesis is near perfect and on the raleigh it was slightly out.

So i have bought another Z510 chain and took some photos whilst installing it.

First is a picture of the two chains side by side curved as far as they will go notice how the SRAM chain has more flex in it (however the sram chain has about 150miles on it).

Second is a picture from the side and you can see the Z510 has bigger inner plates

not sure what caused the chain to derail but its interesting to see the difference.

Well, the real issue is the PC1 is a rubbish chain. Should've checked here first...
