Online source for complete SS cheap?

My friends wife wants to surprise her Pappie with a new SS for Father's Day!
    How cool is that?

Anyone know where I can get a new, complete SS bike on the web in the $500 - $700 range? Interested in Kona, Surly, Bianchi... the usual players. Preferably steel.

I saw WebCyclerys Surly for 9 hunnet. Hoping to go a little lower.

If anyone knows of a newer used one in an 18" or 20", I'd love to hear about it.
No singelators and no junk please.

    ibexbikes?

    [that wasn't a serious reply]

for a less high-end but much cheaper complete bike, look for a Redline monocog or KHS solo one.

Thanks for the pointers. I'm not too keen on the idea of that KHS soft tail. Looks prone to breakage. My bud is a big guy like me (200 pounder), and I envision a trail of broken parts in his wake. I'm on my second Surly frame myself, after finding the infamous crack in the chainstay dimple.

The Monocog looks good though. I know of a couple people who have had good luck with them.

    Keep the ideas coming.
