    OH-ten monocog build complete

    Ohio winters suck....period. Only good things that comes out of it is time to work on the bikes and dark beer.

    Bought the bike last fall with the intentions to get into the SS world. Well a lighter wallet later, heres my monocog....

    Frame and Fork: 2010 Redline Monocog
    Wheels: Hope Pro 2 32H (qr front, ss rear), Sun equalizers, Dt swiss champions, Red alum nips.....built by me.....for a grand total of 348 bucks!
    Tires: Kenda Nevegals
    Brakes: Avid BB7 with jagwire cables, tektro levers.
    Seat: Charge spoon, raceface evolve post, hope clamp
    Bars: Easton EA50 flat(685mm wide), chunky grips, flipped syncros stem.
    Crank: Truvativ five D.
    BB: Truvativ square
    Chain: Sram PC 870
    Cog: Surly
    Pedals: Candy X

    A really nice bike. I agree: building your own wheels must be so special. I'll get there one day...

    Nice bike, nice build. Congrats on rolling your own wheels. It's not so hard, is it? I find so many people have a mental block when it comes to wheel building, but it's just a series of simple steps. There's potential to screw it up, but that's how you learn.

    Very nice!! Nice job on the wheels. I just spent a buttload of cash on a similar wheelset (cept I went with flows) for my Monocog.
