Obligatory "Yay I got a SS" post...

    Hey all,

Been wanting to try the simplicity of a 29er SS for a while now and I happened to wander into a LBS that had a good deal on this one. I forsee it stealing lots of time from my geared.

So here it is: my 2010 Rockhopper SL 29er SS...

    Congratulations and welcome to SS.

Nice bike. You might want to level your saddle a little though....that will hurt in time.

    Thanks.

Kinda like it tilted back although I'm still working on getting the best position for it.

just make it level. you're riding on your prostate.

yea it'll feel different and weird for 10 minutes, but that doesn't make it wrong.

    congrats.

Congrats on the new ride. I am sure you will notice some dust build up on the geared bike soon enough!

Does that Rockhopper come stock as singlespeed? If so, didn't know they offered this. Steel or aluminum? Nice looking bike, enjoy!

It came stock as a SS in 2010 and it's an aluminum frame. I didn't even know it existed until Sunday... I went into the LBS to pick up a tube of grease for another project and walked out with a new bike.
