Non-SS disc hub for SS use

I have a disc Chris King 28-h geared hub which I'd like to re-appropriate for SS 650B MTB use. Will this pose any problems? My concern is the narrow flange width for SS use (hi torque) and the use of quick release axle on my track end style dropouts (currently 15mm nuts).

I'd be more concerned about the low spoke count than the flange width. But it'll work. I believe that you can get a one piece, bolt-on replacement axle from King. Give 'em a call.

+1 on the low spoke count. If you're riding SS on any sort of inclines, that'll be a lot of stress on those spoke holes. If you're confident in the wheel build though, you'll probably be ok. Just rebuild with good butted spokes.
    RIDE HARD, live easy.
