New question here. New suspension fork or new 29" SS?

Need some help on a SS-related decision. I've got some money set aside for a bike-related purchase, but I'm really torn on how to spend it. (Yes, I know, what a pity.)

Currently, I'm riding a pretty much stock, rigid Bianchi SISS. I'm considering either:

    1. Buying a Fox Float 100 for the SISS; or
    2. Buying a Surly Karate Monkey frame and building up a 29" SS with my SISS parts and the KM frame. Of course, that would also entail new wheels, and other new parts, but I'd sell the SISS frame and fork to cover some of the costs.

Both options carry an effective $650 price tag. What would you do?

    option "c"

buy a $300 fork and a km frame & fork for $350 (give or take). then slowly cobble together the parts you need for a km, as funds permit.
