    new SS conversion

So the other day I picked up this NORCO 125cc dirt jumper(from what i understand) for free. The only problem is the derailleur hanger is straight snapped in half. I decide hey why not a single speed, one is all you need right. Being that i cant use a chain tensioner i have to have the perfect gear ratio to create tension, Any ideas for me? im currently working with a front chain ring of 36t and hopefully i can make a 18t rear cog fit.

There are chain tensioners that mount at the bottom bracket which would work for you, that is probably the easiest option. Another good option would be a white industries eccentrick hub which would allow you to tension the chain on a vertical drop out bike.

Find a magic gear through either experiementation, or go to the fix me up calculator.
    http://eehouse.org/fixin/formfmu.php

Those are the easy ones. You could also take it to a frame builder and have either a: cut off and install track ends; or b: have him braze on a new derailuer hanger.
    Just a regular guy.
