    New Spicer on the way

Jessica Spicer just sent me a teaser of my new Spicer frame which should be shipped today! Unfortunately the fork is not included. Gene and Jessica have been great to work with and I couldn’t be more excited about my new frame.

You need to be sure you actually upload your picture to the mtbr site, not just create a link to your hard drive, which sounds like it must be what you have done. You need to go the the "Additional Options" section which is below the message window what you are composing your message. The click on the "upload image" button and follow the instructions from there.

It looks like you are linking from Yahoo. Just upload it to the MTBR server and you're golden.

Glad you got it up there - man that's nice! Is it just the photo angle or does that have quite a steep head angle?

    No fork?

I am drooling over the idea of adding their disc only Ti fork to my SS!
It supposedly weighs 590 gms and only costs $299!
    Anyone out there have one?

I have one and I'll just say that 2 weeks ago when another local SS'er mounted my steed they described it as much "plusher" than theirs even though mine is AL and theirs had a suspension seatpost!

That said, if your coming from a really rigid fork it takes a little while to get used to its forward/backward flex under hard braking. Nonetheless it tracks nicely.

OneGearGuy - I ride a Spicer Ti fork (100mm corrected) and it rides fine. It does flex quite a bit but it sheds a lot weight off your bike!

Smeets1 - Nice! Can't wait to see the final build. Post another pic when you have it all built up.

I have one and love it. The weight is right and it is super plush. I worried about going rigid until I road the ti fork. It is a very smooth ride. It makes it very easy from suspension to rigid. I'm still over 200lbs and haven't had any issues with breakage. Supposedly all the forks from July 03 and newer are slightly thicker tubing to make them stronger.

    Hope this helps!

Nice ride - you'll love it! I do!

    Good job!

    Nice hose guides!

Placement under the TT a nice touch. My Santa Cruz is like that, and I like that a lot! That's a gorgeous bike; enjoy!

Thanks. The head tube angle should be 71 degrees.

I've got a Spicer 29'er ti fork and, as you can imagine, it flexs alot, but it sure feels plusher than the KM fork I was riding previously...
