Cool-blue Rhythm New Juan Solo Build

Pictures of my new rig after a ride and then after I cleaned it up.

    18" Juan Solo
    King Headset
    04 Marzocchi Marathon SL 105mm
    RaceFace Turbine LP Crank arms
    RaceFace Signature Ti BB (ISIS)
RaceFace XY Seatpost (Thomson Setback on order)
Avid SD 5 Brakes and Levers
    Syntace VRO Bar/Stem combo
    ODI Lock-On Grips
Cane Creek Ergo II Bar Ends
    Salsa 32t Chainring
    King 17t Cog
    Spot Space Kit
Selle Italia Trans Am ProLink Saddle
    LX/Bontrager Valiant Wheels
    Conti Vertical Pro 2.3 Tires
    Shiman M520 Pedals

The bike's pretty sweet. and rides really smooth. Right now the limit is definitely the rider. It's pretty dialed in except for the wheels and brakes. I'm considering my options here, but I think I'm done spending money for a while.

Thanks for all the help putting the bike together (been lurking here for a while).

    PS.
The Syntace bar/stem combo is pretty sweet on this bike. It's nice and stiff due to the double clamp and is pretty wide for a flat bar. Adding bar ends makes the bar nice on the climbs.

    Nice Bike!!!

Sweet ride. Enjoy. And time to sell your geary - you won't be needing it anymore.

I dunno, my "Multi-Speed" is pretty nice, too. More bikes = more kinds of rides...

Someone spray painted your license plate gray, then black, then dark gray.

Nice bike. How does the scandium frame ride?

How do you like the eccentric bb? I've heard that it is pretty friggin slick. But I always like simple...so I am curious. Keep me/us posted about it as you crank out the miles.
When I was a kid, I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord, in his wisdom, didn't work that way.
So I just stole one and asked him to forgive me.

Sorry about the delay in responding, but I just got back from a business trip to Texas (The stars at night are big and bright...).

Anyway, the fork is pretty sweet, but I can't help but think that a stable platform fork would have been a better fit. I seem to be spending a fair amount of time out of the saddle... That being said, the ECC is pretty nice on long climbs.

Part of the reason I bought the fork is I have a 05 Marathon SL on the Blur (and previously had an 02). So I have all the tools I need to maintain the forks and am familiar with them.

The EBB is pretty damn slick. I don't have to worry about dics alignment (when I go disc), I don't have to run a tensioner, and the tension is really easy to setup. The EBB itself is not very complicated, it's a nice simple design. The only drawbacks I can think of are weight and a slightly moving BB.
