New Gear Upgrades Help

I’m looking to change the gearing on my SS. I’m new to the SS world and need help finding a good Chainring and rear cog to replace the one that came on my bike. I definitely want to change the rear It came standard with a 18t and I want to drop to a 16t. Who makes good Cogs?

It came’s with a Bontrager Race Lite Singlespeed, 32T, I plan to run this for some time then switch it out with a 34T and new crank.

Any help for this SS poser would be great

I a Aluminum cog strong enough or is a Stainless Steel better?

I know SS weighs more

Aluminum is indeed lighter, but will wear faster. SS is also more expensive. I'd go for the aluminum, since I change gearing ratios depending on the ride and the frame (Trying to get a magic tensionerless ratio. I for one have cogs from 16-19 teeth, mostly aluminum (from Endless). I'm still not exactly sure what to use.

How hard is it to change them out? Do I need a special tool?

diffiulty: easy.

tools: chain whip, cassette remover tool (depends on your cassette lockring) and wrench for your cassette remover.
