    New Gary Fisher Lovin

I spied something in the new Dirt Rag last night about Gary Fisher putting out a new 29er, ebb, singlespeed rocketship with a trekified Bonty three-piece fork.

Does anybody else know about this so-called Rig? Even my friendly local bike shop hasn't heard anything.

Yeah, do a search on the 29er board - someone had some pics of it up there a couple of weeks ago. Looks prrreeeetty.

Here's some pics but I couldn't find the one of the complete bike....

Pretty sure whoever posted it said they were steel.

    Here's a link to the original thread - http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.ph...onty+bontrager

Fisher Guy in there (a guy actually from Gary Fisher - not just who owns one) confirmed it and seemed to hint there would be one at ECNASSCOU Part II, anyone catch a glimpse, get a photo?

2005 model with probable launch Sep/Oct this year.

    Sam

edit: beat me to the punch diesel, I think the fork is steel while the frame is Al.

Looks like aluminium to me, from the welds and the colour of the metal.

    Look out for more 29"ers.

Nah, that frame is all Alumninum there. Though the stays DO look skinny/skinnier. Post is also down to a 27.2 for more flexibility. Love the color!
    Just a regular guy.

    new design

The frame is some ZR7000 aluminum, disc ready, externally butted, 27.2 seat post, EBB so you can adjust BB height, and steel fork, disc brakes under $900...not the I.F. that I love like a child and would give anything for but an excelent option non the less. It will be a big seller and if I were anyone looking to get one - order it from your LBS soon! We are going to get as many as we can for stock 'cause they are going to be THE HOT TICKET for intro into the 29" Single Speed world...if you aren't looking for an I.F. that is.....
