    New Frame done.....

My new Ti SS frame finally completed by DESALVO. I'm[IMG] just waiting for Shimano cranks and brakes to arrive and it will be complete. Thx to everybody for all of their help and suggestions. Hopefully in a few days I will have complete pictures and show you what I ended up with. Thx again MKD

    Hey Diesel.........

I was unable to email you back with your block on email from MTBR. I am going with XT 180 mm cranks. I am still waiting on them from Shimano. I hope it will not be a problem. I'm going to post pics when bike is completed in a few days and let you know.

    Why XT?

Just wondering why XT and not XTR cranks? I am looking to get new cranks and just looking for info. Thanks.

BB. I got your email, I can't believe he wouldn't think that people would put those types of cranks on his bikes. I guess I will find out in a couple of days. I went with XT because I was told that with XTR that after removing the large ring, I would need something there because (not sure what it is called) of the bracket??? holding the rings would stick out and I would need something else in its place. Not sure what that is called either. I'm bad about that kind of stuff. I just ride and let my lbs do most of the work on my bike.
    Thx MKD

    xjohnnyx........

I could be wrong about the XTR cranks, I was told that my best bet for weight savings on a SS would be the XT cranks. I plan to switch to a Boone chainring once I find my ideal gearing since I am soon to be a 1st time SS. Good Luck. MKD
