    new dropout option

Evil Bikes has revealed that their parts division, E13, will be selling versions of their new HVS sliding vertical dropout for aftermarket use and has developed a bit of a standard, that will allow them to be used on a number of other manufacturer's frames (to be announced at Interbike.) The dropouts will come in a number of versions, for standard 10mm axles as well as a 14mm option and a step-up version that will allow using a 24' rear wheel instead of a 26 w/ no geometry change. (maybe potential use for 29/26 swapping?)

this sounds like a great way to get local/custom builders in on sliding dropouts, and a great SS option overall. I'm psyched, especially with E13's reputation for smart design and top-notch customer service.

They're pretty, and solve a number of problems for the undecided or possibly racers. Nice not to have to worry about disc brake adjustment.

However, I think I prefer the simplicity of horizontal track ends.
