    New Addition to the "Darkside"

Today I decided to join the darkside and purchased an '05 Redline Monocog ($375 out the door) from my LBS. One ride and I was hooked. Several posts (thanks for the good advice Mattman) aided in the decision. This is actually a pretty solid bike for the price as many here have already stated. I'm sure there are better options but with a bling bling Ellsworth Sub22 buildup up process the Redline was all I could afford.

Changes will probably include the tires, handlebar, stem and seat. Also, I'm debating on the idea of upgrading the brakeset to Discs but I'm having a hard time trying to justify the expense to myself (Avid's it seems will run me 1/2 the cost of the complete bike). I may just go with Shimano Deore's or the Series 5 Avid's instead of the series 7. I'm also toying with the idea of stripping the Hayes Hydros off my Jekyll since it won't be seeing much action now. I need to find a creative way (not ghetto) to run the hydro lines since the frame is not set up for full length brakelines. Please feel free to chime in here with suggestions and advice. Here are a couple of really bad shot of the Redline. I'll post better pics once the crappy weather clears and the wife returns the digital.
