    need a stiff 31.8mm stem...

    stepping up to 31.8mm because I need more stiffness. I run wide bars and use ergon grips with barends I really torque the bars and stem when climbing and need a stiff stem recommendation..........

    If you run a short stem you might want to consider a DH one like the Titec El Norte, they're plenty stiff, the weight penalty is minimal (if null) and they cost much less than the Thomson. just my $ 0.02

    Or Race Face Diabalous, very nice and not overly heavy. And with laser etched flames.
