    NC Bike and Brew photos

Some of the regulars on this board might remeber last year's photos from Bike and Brew. I throw a little Oktoberfest ride every fall. It's pretty easy actually. You tell everyone where to meet for the ride and then send them to the free brewery tour afterwards.

If you ever come to NC in the fall, I hope you can join us.

A big thanks to everyone who participated in the third Bike and Brew. Huge kudos’ to Harris Lake and the guys at Carolina Brewing Co. in Holly Springs. A good time was had by all.

We had a great turn out. I would guess 50 imbibers?

The trails were a little slick but we had a great time.

Bill was in his usual form.

    Treehugger

Unidentified rider. I was doing some panning with the camera.

Former TriangleMTB Zoolander model. That’s his magnum look.

    Bucka in his usual form.

    Mary Ellen.

Carter. Thanks for hooking up the trail maint. Clinic on 10/16!!!

L-R. My brother Michael, Jeff and Scott

Greg sampling the Oktoberfest right from the tanks.

Carolina Brewing Co. hosts one of the best brewery tours I’ve ever attended. Free Beer!

Juan does the flash back. I only ever see Juan for Bike and Brew.

Probably the hardest part of the day, the tour. They turn the taps off during the tour. 

This is Ron. Official Carolina Brewing Co. mascot. I don’t think he’s missed a tour yet. He also complimented me on the quality of my brewing questions.

Caroline’s little brother, Charles. He was visiting from England and it appears he had a great time.

When are they going to turn the damn taps on again?

Bushwacker doing demonstrating the tank hug.

Getting a group shot of everyone was like herding drunken cats.

(caption deleted, this is a family website)

Yours truly doing the tank hug.

    L-R, Striker, Greg and Treehugger.

Jen, a single speeder from Ohio.

Towards the end of the tour…

I brought some Oktoberfest home with me for safe keeping.

But it didn’t last long with all the thirsty folks who followed me home…

Whenever you mix riding single track with an afternoon of microbrew, you are guaranteed to have a good time. Thanks everyone, until next year…

    more interest than i thought

from across the state. I don't advertise the ride other than on my website.

Never figured anyone would want to drive more than 45 minutes to attend. I'll be sure to post it up here at least once. We are planning a winter bike and brew for after the holidays. Seems the brewer is making their first stout this winter and we don't want to miss it. This one will be a little more covert and use a bandit trail.
