    My New Whip

Thought I would share my new Ventana with you. This is my first single speed. I built it up off of ebay and really like how it turned out. I have 5 rides in and I am loving the single speed thing. Here are some of the high lights:

    Frame: Ventana El Comandante 22"
    Headset: Cane Creek S3
    Fork: Reba Race
Crank: White Industries ENO (Phil Wood BB)
    Wheels: American Classics
    Stem and Post: Thomson
    Bars: Salsa
    Brakes: Hayes El Camino
    Saddle: Rocket V
    Pedals: Crank Brothers Egg Beater

I need to work on my photo skills ...

Flossy whip. Like the gusset near the seat tube, and the curved upper chainstay part. Some clean sex welds on those ventanas.

Enjoy the WI stuff, it runs great. And you can get them nice and scuffed up soon.

Nice, but why the S3? Surely a bike of that caliber deserves the king bling.

I have those same ergons, how do you like them?

S3s are great headsets. Simple, cheap, and they last...nothing to hate on there.

Not hating. I have an S3 on a cheap build I did. But doesn't a $1k frame deserve a king headset?

I have an S3 on my Paragon and it has served me well. After being out bid on a number of King headsets I went with a "Buy-now" option and a known quantity. I am happy with the quality and look.

I really like the ergons. I originally built the bike with Lizard Skins and after 1 ride had to change to ergons. I have ergons on my other bike and I think once you get used to them it is difficult to ride with any other grip.

    Very nice.
I only ride bikes to fill the time when I'm not skiing.
