uhhh. Am I seeing things, or did you just press a CK headset with the bolt and washer DIY method?

I've also pressed 4-5 King headsets (and few Cane Creeks) with that DIY press and it works great. You can go nice and slow and make sure it seats exactly flush. Great solution.

    Finally Done!

After more than four months, I totally forgot about this bike, but not neglected. Feels like 20#, I still have to weigh it. The cheapo Wellgo pedals were heavier than the crankset.

1991 Rocky Mountain Blizzard, removed all the cable stops.

Really nice bike. I couldn't ride that set up, but I would love to be able to dial it in for myself. What levers are you running?

thanks! levers are Machine Tech Zeroflex from the 90's. 2.4 for the Holy Rollers. i have one more syncros stem with an unrealistic length of 150mm! the one pictured is 130.

umarth, the bike is not dialed yet, just posted pictures after assembly. still need to lower the seat around two inches down.

Cool - I'd love to see a pic of you riding it to see what position that saddle to bar drop puts you in. I don't think I'm flexible enough for that much drop.

I was thinking the same thing. Way cool look! In fact the whole bike is downright stunning. Nice work, Fishcreek.

Looking good man, have a blast on that thing. The top tube / stem still looks way long for my liking, but I'm looking at a picture on the internet from the comfort of my cot. Also, is it just a camera angle mind trick or is the angle of the fork to the ground super slack? Regardless, not every bike needs to be set up like mine, have fun on the trails and get us some action shots!

EDIT: The other bike is pretty darn hot too, some guys get all the luck.

Thanks man! I will make sure I am fit enough if I'm considering to ride with you guys All this wedding preparation is making me out of shape BTW, your cranks is still here waiting for you. I need to get rid of these random bike parts! One more reason to spend and build a new one

The bike deserves a new rider, that's for sure, does not belong in the garage hanging upside-down. I wish I can keep them all

Looks good. I like the white! Too funny, on the first picture that has the seat post in the white one, I was like, "why the hell is the seat clamp 1/4 of the way up the post? Then after that split second of a brain fart, I was like duh, the post goes all the way down to the BB!" Just made me laugh for looking at it that way.

Clearance looks pretty tight on the front tire! Love straight blade forks!
