    beautiful.

I like the way Kona is written. Probably standard on their bikes, but I like it nonetheless.

    Nice color too btw.

After much deliberation my SS project is under way as well. And old HT frame not half as flashy as yours though .

    Thanks!

Rusty, I think you are supposed to come buy some of my parts this weekend so you can build your bike! You have been talking to chuky?

Thanks for all the compliments. This is going to be a long-term project because I am scrounging for loose change without angering the other SS rider in the house.

It was kind of tough to find a freeride hardtale frame that met my requirements: 1) SS with no conversions or tensioners 2) sizes available that will allow me to raise the saddle to XC height. Most "freeride" hardtales are set up for gears, and most "dirtjump" singlespeed frames only come in tiny sizes.

The Cowan comes with 2 different dropouts in case I ever loose my senses and want to use a derailleur.

Now I need a PIKE and a set of DeeMax wheels...

    Slowly coming together...

    More pics of the rig-in-progress...

FSA Afterburner Xtreme cranks with 32 ring and polycarbonate bash guard, FSA stem, bar and headset. Avid levers, cheepo redline pedals. DeeMax wheels with sissy 1.9 tires (all I have for now). Also, PIKE Team on the way.

Um, this is moving along at an agonizing pace...
