    Misfit Psycles chain tensioner

I'm trying to tension a new chain (KMC) with a conversion kit from MisfitPsycles. All parts are new and the tensioner looks to be of above average quality (esp. for the price).

Without the tensioner, I almost think I could run the chain as is. It has little sag...less than 3/4 inch. When I add the tensioner to the system, there is a lot of resistance and an out of alignment sound. All parts seem to be in line, though.

Should I add a link to the chain to allow for more slack? (Therefore giving the tensioner really something to do...) Per instructions, the tensioner is running close to the chainstay right now.

    Thanks for the advice.

Do you have some pic's you can post up?
With and without the tensioner if possible.

Tensioners can certainly add some volume to the setup and I'd be curious what you'd consider and 'out of alignment' sound...grinding?

Of course email/call misfit directly if that works best.
