    Midwest Singletrack Summit-Friday AM ride

I know that a lot of people on here are coming down for the Summit. While at the Summit, you'll all have a great opportunity to ride the trails at Landahl Park. I think it would be a shame to come to Kansas City and not get to ride some other trails in town. So, I'll be riding EARLY Friday morning at Blue River Parkway. The Summit starts at 9am, so if we start at 7am, we can get an hour and a half of riding on super single speed trails and still make the summit in time.

SSO crew, I can head into the shop and get your bikes ready on Thursday before you arrive, so you can ride if you feel compelled.

Man, that is super sweet, much appreciated. I'm definitely up for that.

Just back from a fixed road ride since trails are to wet to ride here. What are things like in KC? what kind of temps should we expect for camping?

The trails have been muddy here since November. I finally got to ride this morning for about 2 hours. But then the rain came, and more is expected this week. Probably won't get back on the trails until next week at best.

I'd expect overnight lows to be anywhere from the upper 30's to the low 50's. Average lows for those days (according to weather.com) is 37, average high is 58.

Wonder if K-Dog will let me outta his house?

I think I'll be shackin' up with Miner, but I'd like to ride. Maybe Maurice will join us too?

    Hello all,

Sounds like a good plan. I'll be coming from MN Thursday night so depending on what time I pull in, I should be able to drag my but out of the bag for an early morning ride. I'll be the one on the rigid green Univega.

Meeting at the trailhead? Which one, 118th St. or Minor Park/Red Bridge Rd.?

Looking forward to ridin' some KC trails!

118th Trailhead. directions are avaliable at earthriders.com, or type in this address at maps.yahoo.com: 1390 E 118th St, Kansas City, MO 64131. The latter might be alot easier for out of towners.
