... and if we just ... McKensie River and Kings Castle

Had a great weekend with friends from Boise and Eugene. As always, much laughter and riding was done by all. Pics here:

Everyone but richard rode gearies. Richard was on his Co-motion/vulture hybrid, and he rode it up Kings Castle, at least I think he did, I never saw him walk! this is the SS content

Let the bike ride the trail, you ride the bike.
Look where you want to go, not where you don't want to go.

That Sparticus guy is on his way BACK to the cycling universe as we speak! I managed to join Red-Haze and the others for a swell jaunt up & down King-Castle last Sunday -- what fun that trail is. "Roller-coaster" describes King-Castle best. And what fun them peeps is. I don't know what in tarnation describes them best, but they're all right, alright.

On a personal note, my confuser is getting cleaned up and hopped up as we speak. I should be fully wired in a couple weeks and that's when I'm officially gonna quit lurking here and start chatting wit y'all once again.

Richard (AKA General Coonskins) and I are teaming up for a 12 Hr race on Labor Day weekend, so I've got less than six weeks to try to develop some muskles. If I don't succeed, it'll be 12 hours of beer.

    Whatever.

We don't quit riding because we get old.

You won't get any rest riding with Richard, about as soon as you've set down with a beer he'll be done with his lap and you'll have to go out again..

I liked doing 2-man on the 12 hour last year, seems like 4 man is too long between laps and solo doesn't give you a chance to enjoy the non-riding aspects of the event.

    Hey Bob

I miss it up there. Anyway, really nice pics there Bob. I wish I could come back up there for fall BC but I will be busy with getting done with my training. Anyway, I have been able to get a good following of friends here to ride every weekend at Camp Robinson. I''m glad to be able to ride and relax. Anyway, enjoy!

    Yo Rob

    Miss you too
good friends are good fun, ain't they? glad you have made some down there in the land of the humid. And you know you will NEVER be done with "training".

as for the SRAM dual drive hub, I was able to get my LBS order it for a good price, which turned out well after I broke the axle. since it wasn't rated for mtb use it really wasn't under warrantee, but the LBS was able to replace the innards. Just this once.
I did see it online at various places too, try a google search.

    I found it at..........

I found the hub at Airbomb.com for 197.oo. It is for my next project bike, but will not be stressed like a regular hub.

Yeah, since we discovered Camp Robinson, every weekend we have taken different trails and went exploring. We did porta-potty LH side and it was really nice. This sat looks to be much cooler and will be able to do a 2-3hr ride this time.
