Many pics of my IF SS

A few of you requested more pics.

The frame color is Shark Grey Pearl (one of IF's stock colors).

    Have a look:

One of the nicer rides to grace these pages in a while. Nicely done from build to parts spec...

I might suggest CK Fun bolts instead of a rear skewer...

    Fine SS

My god that is one fine single steed!
I may be inspired enough by your bike to build myself a new ss IF.
That is such a beautiful frame! And the chrome forks take me back to my landing gear bmx days.
What shop is that in the pics?
I was fast once, but then what fast was changed...

Why fun bolts if the frame has an EBB? I might trim the skewer though.

What kind of finish does the fork have? Can't be chrome, can it?

Yup, it's chrome. Had IF send the fork raw and the shop had it chromed locally. BTW -- chroming adds a mil or so of material making the fit of the from caliper tricky.

    El Coco,

If you get up to Vulture's Knob in Wooster give me a shout. This place is perfect for SS and I'd like to see that beast in person.

You could have saved lots of money and bought a haro single speed, painted it and had a better riding bike than that IF.

Very nice. I had a geared Steel Deluxe years ago in that same shark grey. Cool color.

Question: Love the chrome fork!!! Did you tell I.F. that you were going to have it chromed and if so, did they express any concerns about the chroming process having any affect on the fork? Also, where did you get it done and did the shop have previous experience chroming bike parts?

    Thanks!

Those are good questions. I just don't know the answers. I put a lot of trust in the shop I went through. I know the owner and am confident that if it didn't work out, he would help me get it right. You could contact Roll (roll-online.com) and ask either Stuart of Ezra. Either would be able to easily answer your questions.

    I'm just the pilot.

7 posts on MTBR all negative towards anything to do with IF. Grudge maybe. Now who will believe your opinions of IF bikes, not me. I think they make great bikes, and I think the bike in this thread is excellent.

That is a tasty looking ride.

Not sure what a certain person's problem is. IFs are beautiful bikes and are high quality. I hope to own one myself someday.

What is your beef with IF? ...

If you have something critical to say then spit it out, otherwise just button it, we don't want to hear you bad mouthing a co. on someone's thread, who is clearly proud of said co.'s product...... it's bad manners.

If you want to start a thread that has something constructivly critical to say about IF then fair do's..... go ahead but quite frankly I'm bored with your sniping.
