    Looking For The Right GEAR(s)

I am in search of an odd sized front ring like a 36...if there is such a thing ....??..Also I would like some ideas on some " BulletProof" rear freewheels ..I am looking for something that can handle a long race with little maintenance... The Shimanos I have been running are garbage and I wouldn't trust them in a race....Thanks RM

36 is not so uncommon, Blackspire makes my favorite - but there are many good brands..

And for the freewheel White industries makes the most bombproof round.

Both are available online or through your LBS
    White Industries Blackspire

Salsa makes a wide variety of chainrings (I assume you're running 4-bolt or you wouldn't be referring to 36t as "odd sized"), including a 36t 4-bolt. Available at:

    http://www.bikemannetwork.com/Mercha...COMPCR104SALSA

    or at aebike.com:

    http://aebike.com/site/page.cfm?PageID=30&SKU=CR3656

They're a popular SS ring, non-ramped and very durable.
