    Looking at buying a singlespeed

    Hey,

I have always ridden geared bikes but found a ss that weighs about 23lbs for what i think is a good price. Is 23lbs light for a ss or average?
    thanks

Hard to say. You have your wants and I have mine. It is just opinion. I like 29 and steel. So I reckon its not a bike I would pay 6 hundy for. You might like it and then it is worth what you pay for it.

Dont buy a bike for how light it is or how much. Buy what you want in a bike.

Does it fit? Condition of frame, paint, crank set wear, any excessive wear, fork issue..any leaks? The price seems high for a budget frame, but good fork.
I like big bars and I cannot lie

Plus I would not buy a bike based on what the owner guesstimates it weighs...

If it fits, it seems like a good deal. I'm not a big fan of tensioners, but I know guys who rely on them very successfully.
