New question here. Logo/phrase ideas for cog spacer?

    Hey everyone,

I'm just looking to personalize the ol' MongoSSe with some homemade goodness. I used a piece of PVC pipe as a cog spacer instead of individual spacers (see the picture below), so it's a nice flat piece canvas just waiting to be covered. I did put a solid black piece on it (the white was ugly!), but I'm looking for something a little more interesting.

I used to work at a sign shop, so I have a ton of coloured vinyl scraps. I make stickers for my car by creating a template and cutting them out with an X-acto knife, and that works pretty well. So I was just wondering if anyone had ideas for what I could cut out for the spacer, such as a logo or phrase. Letters are hard to cut, so logos or simple words would be best. The surface is about 1-1/8" wide and 5-1/4" long.

    Thanks!

    Brian

    Hmmm.

Or, a barbershop-pole type spiral would be cool, in black and white. That would hypnotize the riders behind you, and ensure that they can't pass you back.

Actually, I changed my mind.... put a thin white line wrapped around the spacer in a spiral effect. That way when you pass some gearie they will see the optical illusion it creates (while moving) and fall over out of confusion.

Here is one I saw on a professional Drag bike racer one time.....

The bike was solid white and it only had one deal on each side that said something like .....

    "Sponsor Needed"

After he won his division and time class it wasn't too much a problem. I saw that on ESPN last year, very funny to me.

Another idea for a solid spacer....

Why not try to make one in clear plastic, or smoked plastic, maybe in red or blue, whatever your color scheme is on your bike. I might even go as far as getting a slice of aluminum tubing and getting it anodized, to match your paint job.

    Just thinking out load
