New question here. Let's pretend this is the 29'er board; Which bike should I choose?

I thought I'd let you guys decide which bike I'm going to race on Sunday. That way if I don't do well it's all your fault. I will race whichever you choose. Poll close Friday 8/5/2011 at 4:00 PM.

    The choices:
    BlüSteel
A smooth operator who really rails the corners. Bestest rigid fork.

    or

    Mary Jane
Mary Jane is good in the rough stuff and fun to toss around (like your sister).

The course is rough but fast with only about 50' of elevation gain per mile, so weight isn't really an issue. So much so I'm not going to say which is heavier (they're within 3/4 of a pound).

Unless you're going to win this race, you better be thinking about how good you and your bike will look. My vote is for the rather fetching British lass

I take it Quinny won't let you use his since it's not an option...I'll go with the KM just to be difficult.

We should all cast our votes so that when the poll closes, there will be an equal number of votes for each option. Then he has to race both bikes.

    Who's in?
Sometimes, I question the value of my content.

Defy traditional wisdom - ride the KM
Chasing bears through the woods drunk with a dull hatchet is strongly not advised

I hope you rode both; don't tell one about the other though, things can get messy that way.

Climbing a little power hill, the end of my 4 year old bar, that has seen more brake levers than I can count, and been crashed who knows how many times, came off in my hand. I stopped, put the lever back on the broken end and finished the race.
There's a more complete version on my blog (you know that thing in my signature).

Sooo..... Is it still all their fault? I voted for Mary Jane, so I'm automatically absolved of all blame.

When it looked like a runaway I voted for MJ too; always been a fan of the underdog.

    But anyhoo...
My main objective was to win my buddy Cam a medal for his birthday.
    Mission accomplished.

    No need for finger pointing...
