    It...just...came...together...so...well!

Just picked up the new 1x1 build and I can't believe how sweet it came together. I was a little worried - building a brand new 1x1 frame with a bunch of frankenparts lying around the garage or cannibalized from other bikes. OMG, it looks so sweet, and as a former proud owner of a 1x1, I know it will ride as nice as it looks. Got the fit dialed in tonight and will break her cherry tomorrow night. Here's the build spec:

    Frame: Surly 1x1
    Fork: '05 Skareb Super
    Wheelset: XT/Mavic 221
Cranks: Truvativ Stylo Team, 175mm, 32t Truvativ chainring, Spot bashguard
    BB: FSA ISIS Platinum
    Chain: SRAM PC1
    Post: Thomson Elite
    Saddle: Selle Italia Genuine Gel
    Pedals: Time ATAC (old style)
    Tires: WTB MutanoRaptors 2.4
    Headset: Ritchey
    Stem: Pazzazz
Bar: Easton Monkeylite 1.5" rise, 26.5" width
    Grips: Yeti/ODI lock on
    FW: Gusset kit, 18t ring
    Brakes/Levers: Avid SD7 v-brakes

I guess this means I've re-enlisted in the S.W.I.S.S. Army!

Just noticed your choice of stem.
I have that same Pazzaz stem on my Surly and have had no problems with it other than it occasionally coming loose.
I would suggest that you loctite the bolts that hold the bar in place if you have not done so already.

The Pazzazz stem is going to be a temporary part - I've had great luck with Thomson stems in the past and they are stiffer than all get out - perfect for SS'ing.

You know I will. In fact, I think I may be driving solo so we can all bring 2 bikes apiece!

Yes, between MTBR and ebay (and your UGI as well as mine), I think that white 1x1 has changed hands more times than a hooker at a bachelor party. (Funny thing is I also just made a deal with anixi on the Ventana board to trade the 400lb Romic spring you sold to me with the Romic shock for his 500lb spring.)
