    Iro Cycle Highlander

Has anyone had any experiences with the Irocycles Highlander? I was thinking of building a SS for the winter time. They have the frame and fork for a great price on their website. Any feedback would be great. Thanks

I got one. Got it about a month ago.
Ridden a handful of times. I'm coming from a early 90's GT convert so this is my first real SS frame.

It rides nice. No compliants. It feels real solid and the rear dropouts are really beefy. I was really surprised how beefy they were. I ride pretty much XC only. Rode it a few weeks ago for about 20+ miles and it was very comfortable. Standard XC style geometry. I got the 16" frame and at 5'7" I could use maybe a little more standover but being short I've learned to live with tight standover.

    Here's a picture

Thanks for the information. Your bike looks fun to ride. What gearing are you running? There is quite a bit of climbing where I live. I hear 32:20 is good for all around climbing.

I got it geared at 32:16 I was pushing a 34:18 before I got this bike.

Its doable for most of what I ride. I won't lie I have to get off and walk sometimes. I'm going to give it a little longer, but I got a 18t freewheel should I feel the need to lower the ratio.

It's a nice frame. I'd buy another one.

I got an IRO a year ago. Great ride. I've been impressed with the frame and the way the bike rides. It's one of the most comfortable bikes I've had and it's made for a fantastic 1st SS bike. I like it so much that I don't ride off road with anything else right now! Great bike and I would recommend them to anyone.
