Inbred owners: What seatpost clamp are you using?

I think I may place an order this weekend to continue my build and need a clamp for my seatpost. The spec is for a 29.8 mm, but that isn't a common size. Will a 30 mm work? I know Brant has the correct size but paying the shipping from the UK is a little silly for just a clamp.

I'm looking at the offerings from www.Jensonusa.com. Thanks!

try contacting planet-x us distributors www.zedsport.com I think they may have 29.8 seatpost clamps. Also, John henry bicycles has a generic 29.8 quick release in stock:

Um, I didn't even know it was 29.8. I'm running a 30.0 Salsa clamp w/ a Thomson post and have had zero slippage.

Awesome! I have a Thomson post as well and was considering the Salsa clamp, so this is the exact same setup.

The clamp On-One sells is 29.8 mm. 2/10 of a mm isn't much, but wanted to make sure.

salsa clamps are nice, and 30mm is no problem.

I'm sure the paint is thicker than 0.1, so the 30mm clamp will fit easily.

It's the tube that's 29.8mm. I guess I should put an explanation on the site somewhere cos this isn't the first time I've been asked this:-)

the clamp on my frame shows "32"......i wonder if that's why my post slips all the time? i figured it was because it's old, and worn smooth.

I believe it's the same as my Pompino. I found a Woodman 29.8 for $10.

Don't worry about finding one. Every On One that I've sold comes with the seatclamp.
