    If this is wrong....

I don't wanna be right. I finally got my Niner carbon fork friday and DAMN does this thing look sweet. Not sure on how it rides yet but me and nitrousjunky are gonna roll it out tomorrow at dupont. Just a couple pics of the pre inaugural ride build. Ride pics and report to follow tomorrow.

Yes, that is one of Dan's chainrings (one of the first) and it is holding up extremely well. Just got back from doing San Juan Huts, Durango to Moab on it and it's still looking sweet.

Talk amongst yourselves.....I'm a little verclempt.

and yes, that is my sit and spin in the first pic. I ride it when I need to think.

    how wide are dem handlebars?

Looks really elegant. I'll echo chucky about the fork, but if you like it and it rides nice... I'd steal everything else in a heartbeat.

I need a post ride report...

Does Niner offer that fork without paint or graphics?

    Nice bike.

honestly, i think it looks terrible. i really like your bike, but i think the fork looks SO out of place.

either way, it's your ride and if you like it that's all that counts. i bet it rides sweet!

Got in 21 miles on the new fork today, mostly not too techy. First off, this thing made my bike steer a LOT quicker. I have been running a 100mm Reba and was really surprised on how much quicker the bike steered. The fork doesn't look like it would have that much compliancy but it is really smooth.
Climbing is where I really noticed the benefits of this fork. I lost almost 2 1/2 pounds from my Reba and both nitrousjunky and I both noticed it when climbing. The front end is obviously a lot easier to get up over obstacles than with my Reba. Still getting used to descending on it since it has been a little while since I rode a rigid fork on my Redline.
Overall the verdict is still out on it. I like the feel of it a lot but if I could get one with a little longer a to c, I think it would be the perfect rigid fork.

could care less for the white fork, but I am sure they are hard to get so don't blame you. I would however get rid of the bontrager carbon seat post and try to get a Ti one with red hardware. Kent Eriksen, Moots, and black sheep make Ti seat posts.

Guys this thing is light! I just pedaled it down the road and back, but man is it light!
You could tell just how light when we turned uphill.

    thanks

I think the fork looks great. Must be great for power. I am able to lock out my front fork, but I can only imagine what a fork like that feels like around turns.

The white is strong, but I think that can easily be balanced by adding something else that is white to the bike. White disc brake lines to continue the white to the back, seat post (if there is any) etc.

    I dig it.

you're probably used to it by now. I am. So will others.
I am now used to having Gomez's bike in my basement. I wasn't at first, but now I am.

I am also used to having nightmares where I am being carried away by gnomes, against my will - and placed on top of their catapult, and it won't work because they bought it here: http://www.thinkgeek.com/geektoys/warfare/81e6/

LOL, like I was saying in the ride report, the 470 a to c is just a little quick for me. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they will make a 490 one day. If I order a custom black sheep unicrown, I'm gonna paint it white and put BIG logos all over it though.

I just ordered a Ti black sheep unicrown fork for my Eriksen with a 495 ac and 20mm thru axle. It should be here in about 4 weeks. Not that I don't think that the black sheep Steel fork is worth $325 or the Ti 475 you could just get a Steel niner fork with the 490 ac. But I think you will like the TI unicrown..........
