We don't quit riding because we get old.

I stopped murdering innocent brain cells 4 years ago. Smoking killed my short term memory, robbed me of any ambition what so ever, and made me want to sit around watching Beavis and Butthead reruns while munching on potato chips...not my idea of a meaningful life today. Ohhh, and good luck with that...if you ever decide to stop and find you cannot, send me an email, I'll tell you how I did it. billydw1 at sprintpcs dot com

    oddly enough

i found college+college athletics+smoking didnt= a viable future for me. results like the previous ones mentioned are typical and result in bad grades, dusty bikes, and generally being out of shape...

    I crash fine without it

As I proved again on Saturday, I can ride badly, walk the big hills and crash spectacularly all by myself, without the help of mind altering, lung clogging smoke. I quit smoking all kinds of things over 10 years ago. I feel better and I get a lot more done these days.

    Cool-blue Rhythm

Tried riding that way once. While it was interesting, I din't like it. It's not for me. Perhaps if I was a regular, but I'm not.
I gotta roll, can't stand still, got a flame in my heart, can't get my fill.

I guess this is the lone voice in the wilderness here....

Smoking while riding = FUN FUN FUN

I don't do it all the time, but it makes the same old trails into a whole new adventure. ALso, a one hour easy spin seems like a five hour adventure.

    almost always

smokin' herb has become a daily 'normal' thing in my routine. Never thought it affected my riding.
Still hit jumps and pass ppl on the road and the dirt....

I've tried to burn and ride but it just intensifies the pain. I'd rather guzzle a tall boy of malt liquor during my rides - all your carbs and a nice buzz too!
