    holy Crap!

Jeez, it took me forever to finally register! Anyone else have problems on a mac? Oh well, here I am! I got tired of lurking and jumped on co-worker's PC to get thru the registration process. I knew those beige boxes were good for something!

    So what's up everyone?

Has anyone seen the Triplets of Bellevue? It's an animated French Canadian film about cycling, and probably the strangest film you'll ever see. Case in point: an old lady goes out to a lake to fish for frogs with dynamite. Discuss.

Yeah, I just re-registered. My old name and password no longer worked (it's been a while). Why do they ask so much crap??? And of course if you forget something, it doesn't retain your password. I know it's petty, but it put me in a bad mood.

Without revealing too much - did you like that film? I have it on my list to see but other than a review in the westword don't know much about it.

... and if we just ... Hollywooooood!

    Hey Jeff!
Hey, I haven't seen the Curtlo! Is it done! Please tell me it is. I know that the lead time on a custom frame is 472 weeks, so maybe that means it's at paint right now. Not sure. By the way, love that fuscia avatar. Trés chic! Are ya coming to Sea Otter? Me thinks you are, I'll plan on seeing you. Hope all is going well,

    Mr. Mega,

Go see the film! You'll love it! It's so bizarre and likeable. Get this: at the end of the film (caveat: saw it in Santa Cruz) the whole audience erupted in a knee-slap/foot-tap rhythm. It was like Stomp, but without the spotlight.

    And go ride your bike.

i was using ie:mac and encountering the same problem with having to download images manually. i thought that sucked, so i started using SSafari, and it's perfect. plus, no pop-ups!

Yup - it was on TV here over the holidays - pretty cool - certainly original. Known as Bellville Rendez-vous here (and The Triplets of Belleville there BTW).

    Oops, you're right...

Belleville, not Bellevue. Brain fart. On TV, huh? I wish America was a little less into the mainstream so much. It's a very small culture here that embraces such oddball genius like that. But being in the Bay Area, I can catch all the fringe, artsy fartsy stuff that most people will never see.

I love the whistle-blowing, club-footed grandma. Pure genius...
