    Glendale Mountain?

Road content related, but just how steep/long is this road?

Suzy might be doing a Stage Race there in 2 weeks, and this is part of the course, an uphill time trial.

I was just there on Sunday with some guys I know that race on the road. They were doing it as a pre-run for that race, I was just there for the pain & humiliation apparently . I'm not sure, but I think it was about 8-miles. It doesn't get *super* steep, but it doesn't really flatten out either. Can you get a race-day Cat 4-5 ucsf license like you can a NORBA beginner license? I've never raced road 'cause I've heard Cat 4-5 races are all about carnage. Me no like road-rash. An unruly pack wouldn't be a problem in a time-trial though.

If nothing else it'd be a killer workout.

For comparison, If you've ever climbed the back-side of Oak Glen up from Beaumont it's way tougher than GMR, IMO.

You can get a one day for Cat 5, but since this is a 4 day stage race, you'd have to buy a license for every day, and race every day as well.

We'll be down there for the race, maybe we can hook up for a ride!
