    Getting Stronger

I'am getting stronger and ready to to change rear cog. If I drop down one tooth will there be much if a difference or do a drop two teeth.

Currently running 32x22 on a 29 inch bike. Live in So-Cal.

I'd drop 2 teeth for a 10% change. You'll appreciate the extra speed on gentle slopes and go through another learning curve on climbing. A lesser gear change is more of a drag than a challenge.

    agree with Pacman....get a 20 tooth cog.

I was running a 32x22 on my One 9 as well.....and still do for some rides in Southern California as the climbs are tough as you know and are on my 2006 Resolution list (thanks to Pacman ).

I run 32x20 now almost all of the time and it feel spot on. I can go to 32x18 but that crosses the threshold for me out here in terms of being able to ride 95% of things and drops that number too low for my liking.
