    Gearing question

Is there a difference between 34-17 and 32-16. They are both 2-1 but would one be faster than the other. Also say you ran 32-16 typ. and then switched to to 32-17, would there be much of a noticable difference?

Also, I am about to buy the Truvativ SS crank and saw that it comes with a 33 ring, I have never seen this before, whats the deal why an odd number? Thanks in advance.

    half-answer...

    Hi,
for the 32-16 and 34-17, there's absolutely no difference in speed, but the 34-17 should wear down a little bit slower (and I say a little...).
