    Gearing options

I'm new to this whole single speed thing. I'm converting my geared MTB and have the option of using a 22T or 32T chainring. Is there any advantage to using the 32T over the 22T? The only thing I can think of is that it would be easier to fine tune the gearing with the bigger chainring. But if I want a 2:1 ratio, are there advantages/disadvantages to using a 32/16 vs a 22/11?
    Thanks for the help

The little gears will wear out twice as fast.
