    First 24hr solo (Mont 24)

On a bit of a spur of the moment i decided to do the Australian 24hr race (Mont) as a solo.

I ended up doing 216km in 24 hrs on the most rutted up
tracks i have even ridden. I came in 25th in the solo field out of 70+
riders. I was one of the first if not the first on a hardtail, and yes i
was the only one on a single speed! I rode with little rest from 1200hr
sat to 0400hr sun, then had a 'long' rest till 0530, then i did not stop
    until 1200hr.

    Having fun!

    Even more fun!

    Well done mate!!

Top stuff! I know a guy, who is no slouch on a bike, that also raced the solo class and came 29th on a dually. He agrees the course was very rutted and tough.

Now you'll have qualified to go and do the 24hr solo worlds on your ss next year...

I rode the last couple hundred meters with a beer in my hand and tried to drink it. I was wasted after a couple mouth fulls!

Great work!! Well done, and thanks for sharing.

I am still mighty sad that I couldn't make it to the mont after training my ass off all winter for it. I have heard nothing but great comments about it this year.

As I always say, doing a 24hr race solo is commendable and tough stuff, but to do it on a SS is another thing all together and makes for a much tougher but rewarding experience.

    Well done.
